Items from the auction were sold for an estimated amount of $1.8 million. The highest selling article in the auction was the Kramer knife that was dearest to the chef. The knife surpassed all expectations and sold for $231,250, the initial predicted sale price of the knife was between $4,000 and $6,000. Bourdain&rsquos U.S. Navy jacket was the second highest selling article at $171,150. The jacket was given to Bourdain to commemorate the evacuation of the crew of his show, No Reservations, when the war broke out in Lebanon in 2006. Some of the other articles included a signed script from The Simpsons cast from when Bourdain appeared in an episode in 2011 which went for $18,750, a silver Michelin Man sculpture which was sold for $61,250, artwork from Ralph Steadman which was sold for $52,500 and a duck press which went for $35,000.
