The new airport at Kadapa, formerly Cuddapah, in Andhra Pradesh has started operating. Air Pegasus is operating flights between Kadapa and Bengaluru. The flight will take 50 minutes each way. The airport is about 10km from Kadapa city. Kadapa, less than 500km south of Hyderabad, is also called Gadapa (meaning threshold) as it is the western gateway to the holy Tirumala Hills.
