Airports to introduce new technologies

Self check-in and baggage reconciliation systems are some of the new technologies that are part of the airport modernisation program

The Airports Authority Of India has collaborated with SITA, the air transport IT specialist, to introduce new technology such as self check-in and baggage reconciliation systems as part of its airport modernisation program. SITA&rsquos AirportConnect Open passenger processing platform will have 730 workstations in 24 AAI airports. The airports that have the technology include Chennai International Airport Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata and Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh among others.
