The top two floors of the landmark four-storey India Heritage Centre on Singapore&rsquos Campbell Lane in the iconic Little India, have been given over to a permanent gallery with five thematic exhibitions that celebrate the migration, evolution and contribution of the Indian diaspora to and in the island-nation. It&rsquos shimmering &lsquoshining jewel&rsquo and &lsquoglowing lantern&rsquo day and night façades are inspired by the architecture of a traditional baoli (step-well). The meticulously researched and extravagantly mounted tribute features 443 artefacts, including a 7th-century miniature bronze shrine roof from the Malay Peninsula and an 11th-century volcanic stone Agastya from Indonesia, most of them contributed or donated.
