The Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival (KRBF) is set to take place on April 3–4 in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, bringing together a diverse lineup of musicians while continuing its core mission of supporting children with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).
Organised by the Genesis Foundation, the two-day festival blends live music with philanthropy, positioning itself as a cultural event with a clear social purpose.
Who Will Perform At The Kasauli Rhythm And Blues Festival?
This year’s edition will see performances by a mix of well-known and upcoming artists, including Indian Ocean, Nirmala Kannan, Shamaji and The Happy Factory, Prince, Mansa Jimmy, Shrey Tandan, True Blue, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya.
Festival organisers aim to provide a platform for established and up-and-coming talent to collaborate, delivering a rich and diverse musical experience for all attendees.
A Festival Rooted In Social Impact

Philanthropy lies at the core of KRBF; beyond music, it serves as a crucial fundraising initiative for the Genesis Foundation, an NGO that supports children from low-income families affected by congenital heart defects.
Since its debut in 2012, the festival has evolved into a vital lifeline for life-saving medical interventions. This year’s 10th edition highlights KRBF’s continuing legacy as a fundraising channel.
Proceeds from ticket sales are directed towards surgeries, catheter-based procedures, and post-operative care for critically ill children. The organisers emphasised that each ticket purchased contributes directly to the treatment of a child.
Addressing A Critical Healthcare Gap
According to the foundation, CHDs are among the most common birth abnormalities in India. These conditions often require urgent, costly treatment that many families cannot afford. The festival aims to address this gap by establishing a consistent, transparent funding stream while also raising awareness of the issue.
Jyoti Sagar, founder trustee, emphasises that timely medical intervention can dramatically boost survival rates for affected children. She has also observed the festival’s role in connecting the foundation with families in need.
Genesis Foundation’s Work And Reach
Over the past 25 years, the Genesis Foundation has supported the treatment of more than 5,400 children across India.
The organisation works with a network of hospitals and medical professionals to ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and recovery support.
It provides assistance specifically to families earning a monthly income of INR 20,000 or less. According to the foundation, all donations from individual donors are fully allocated to treatment costs for children, with no administrative expenses deducted.
Additionally, the organisation is registered under the relevant provisions of the Income Tax Act and is authorised to receive foreign contributions.
Collaboration With Scapes Hospitality
The 2026 edition of the festival is being held in association with 1842 Kasauli by Scapes. According to reports, the collaboration reflects a shared emphasis on sustainability, heritage preservation, and community engagement.
According to Sameer Mutreja, founder and promoter of Scapes Hospitality, the festival embodies a fusion of purpose-driven activities, robust community participation, and responsible development. These combined efforts, he believes, not only raise awareness of critical healthcare needs but also deliver real, measurable impact.
