As hostilities between Israel and Iran intensify, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has issued a fresh safety advisory for Indian nationals residing in Israel. The move follows a dramatic escalation in regional conflict, including missile attacks on Israeli cities and the formal launch of Israel's military operation against Iran.

"In view of the prevailing situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to remain vigilant and follow the safety protocols issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command," the embassy said in a post on X. The advisory also urged Indians to avoid non-essential travel and stay near designated safety shelters.

For emergencies, the Embassy shared 24x7 helpline numbers: +972 54-7520711 and +972 54-3278392, and the email: cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in.

The advisory comes a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the evolving situation. Modi, in a post on X, said he expressed India's concerns and stressed the need for "early restoration of peace and stability."

The conflict escalated sharply after Israel officially launched Operation Rising Lion, a military campaign targeting what it called Iran's "threat of annihilation." The operation has included airstrikes and other military measures aimed at neutralizing Iranian capabilities.

On Saturday (June 14), nearly 100 missiles were launched from Iran in two barrages targeting central and northern Israel. Israeli authorities reported at least 41 injuries, including two in critical condition.

Iranian state television confirmed the strikes as part of a renewed offensive. The Israeli Defence Forces also acknowledged further incoming barrages, though specific targets were not disclosed.

Netanyahu's office stated that he is in close contact with global leaders, including Modi, the German Chancellor, and the French President. Conversations with leaders from the U.S., Russia, and the UK are expected to follow.

The Indian government continues to monitor the situation closely.
