The Ice Hotel in Sweden will be marking its 30th anniversary this year. Including the visitors in the celebrations this year, the hotel has extended an invitation to enjoy a stay at the 30th rendition of the hotel beginning from December 13, 2019.
Celebrating their anniversary, the hotel has announced new designs, along with exhibition plans and a suite design for the very first time. 18 design teams have been chosen to give the hotel a makeover for its 30th anniversary.
Set in the village of Jukkasjärvi, the Icehotel is made exclusively of snow and ice, and recreated every winter by collaborating with artists from around the world. As snow blankets the city mid-November, the new rendition of the hotel will be worked upon to create the exhibition of snow, ice and light that will become Icehotel 30 this year.
This year 126 unique concepts from 34 countries in six different continents were submitted to this year&rsquos Icehotel jury. This year the hotel was melting and returning to its origins of Torne River which led the jury to agree on the fifteen art suite designs that would be part of next season&rsquos hotel.

I am really looking forward to welcoming the artist teams to Jukkasjärvi this winter and see their visions turn in to unique experiences for our guests,&rdquo said Luca Roncoroni, Creative Director at the hotel.
