Reinforcing the growing importance of experiential hospitality and engagement-led collaborations in India’s evolving travel landscape, Hyatt Regency Kolkata recently hosted Together by Hyatt, Customer Engagement Event 2026, bringing together representatives from 18 Hyatt hotels across India along with planners, corporate stakeholders, and industry partners.
The event marked Hyatt’s first customer engagement initiative of its kind for the eastern India market. Designed as more than a promotional showcase, the gathering served as a platform for conversations around evolving guest expectations, changing corporate travel trends, and the growing role of experiential hospitality in shaping customer engagement.
The Highlights
The initiative also showcased Hyatt’s expanding footprint across the Indian subcontinent and highlighted the advantages for customers choosing Hyatt for meetings, events, and business travel across multiple destinations. Over the years, Hyatt has steadily strengthened its presence in India through a diverse portfolio spanning luxury, lifestyle, wellness, and business hospitality brands across key metropolitan and leisure markets.
Speaking about the initiative, Animesh Barat, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Kolkata, said, “The hospitality landscape in India is evolving rapidly, with guests and corporate partners increasingly seeking experiences that are more immersive, collaborative, and meaningful. Through Together by Hyatt, we wanted to create a platform that reflects this shift while strengthening our relationships across eastern India. For us, hospitality today extends far beyond accommodation; it is about creating memorable experiences, fostering long-term partnerships, and building stronger engagement across every touchpoint.”

Food Meets Fashion
The evening followed a distinctive “Food Meets Fashion” theme, combining culinary artistry with unconventional design-led elements to create an immersive event environment beyond standard networking or banquet formats. One of the highlights of the evening was the unveiling of the dessert buffet, introduced through a ceremonial dance performance by Hyatt’s young culinary team.

In Kolkata, Hyatt’s presence reflects both legacy and contemporary hospitality experiences. Hyatt Regency Kolkata continues to remain one of the city’s most recognised hospitality landmarks, having hosted large-scale corporate events, weddings, diplomatic gatherings, and international guests over the years. Complementing this legacy is Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata, a lifestyle-focused property situated in the cultural heart of the city, offering a design-driven and immersive hospitality experience for modern travellers seeking deeper local connections.
The event comes at a time when India’s hospitality sector is witnessing a growing shift towards curated experiences, engagement-led programming, and meaningful collaborations. As competition intensifies across business and leisure travel segments, hospitality brands are increasingly positioning themselves beyond traditional hotel stays and corporate conferences, with a stronger focus on experiential events, networking platforms, and lifestyle-driven engagements.
