Chola temples of Tamil Nadu

Two 11^th and 12^th-century Chola temples&mdashthe Brihadisvara temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram, and the Airavatesvara temple at Darasuram&mdashare now among the World Heritage Sites. They have been added to the cluster of &lsquoGreat Living Chola temples&rsquo, which includes the 11^th-century Thanjavur Brihadisvara temple (inscribed in 1987).
