In a move set to redefine how Indians and global travellers experience hotels across the country, Accor—the global hospitality giant—has deepened its alliance with InterGlobe, India’s foremost travel conglomerate. Together, they are creating what promises to be the country’s fastest-growing hospitality enterprise, with a vision to operate 300 hotels under Accor brands by 2030.

Accor has long been a familiar name to globetrotters, with over 5,400 hotels worldwide and a growing presence in India. With 71 hotels already operating here—and another 40 in the pipeline—the brand is known for everything from chic urban boltholes like Ibis to upscale luxury experiences under Raffles and Fairmont.

Now, with InterGlobe stepping in as a powerful partner, Accor is gearing up for its most ambitious expansion yet. Think of it as a blend of international class with deep-rooted Indian expertise. InterGlobe, the name behind India’s most trusted airline, IndiGo, also brings to the table its vast experience in hospitality, logistics, tech, and travel services—and perhaps more importantly, a finger firmly on the pulse of Indian travellers.

With India’s economy cruising at a projected seven per cent GDP growth rate and a population that’s young, tech-savvy, and hungry to explore, travel is booming. By 2027, India is set to become the world’s third-largest domestic travel market and the fifth-largest outbound travel market. From tier-1 cities to remote hill towns, Indians are packing their bags and looking for quality stays that suit every budget and travel style.

That’s where this partnership shines. Accor and InterGlobe aim to create a hospitality ecosystem that spans everything from budget hotels to luxurious urban retreats.

Collaboration Of IndiGo BluChip and ALL - Accor Live Limitless

As part of the broader relationship between IndiGo and Accor, the two partners have agreed to develop a strategic collaboration through their loyalty programmes—IndiGo BluChip and ALL – Accor Live Limitless. In the coming weeks, the two brands will work towards a more comprehensive engagement framework to launch a value proposition that will drive deeper member engagement and loyalty, noted an official release by the hospitality chain.

This first-of-its-kind loyalty programmes collaboration between IndiGo’s BluChip Rewards and Accor’s ALL Accor Live Limitless loyalty programme would allow them to partner on a wide range of initiatives such as rewards points sharing, co-branded loyalty and seamless two-way conversion. This would enable members to earn and redeem points across flights, stays and experiences. IndiGo’s strategic partnership with Accor will underscore their collaborative efforts to enhance travel experiences for passengers.

The two brands will also collaborate on joint marketing initiatives and explore future growth opportunities.

Treebo Joins The Journey

If you’ve ever booked a reliable, clean, and affordable hotel in a smaller Indian city, chances are Treebo made that happen. With over 800 hotels across 120 cities, Treebo has become a major player in the budget stay segment. With Accor and InterGlobe investing jointly in the company and becoming its largest shareholders, Treebo will continue to grow and will also take charge of developing Accor’s Ibis and Mercure brands across India under a master license agreement.

Already, Treebo has signed on 10 new Mercure properties, signalling a new era for mid-scale travel in India. And with Treebo’s tech-forward platform powering operations and distribution, Accor's portfolio is now equipped to penetrate deep into the country’s unbranded hotel market—one of the last great frontiers of Indian travel.

New Era For India's Hospitality Industry

The ambition is clear: create a hospitality powerhouse offering something for everyone. All Accor brands—including lifestyle labels from Ennismore like 25hours, Mama Shelter, and Jo&Joe—will now find fertile ground in India. From the bustling streets of Mumbai to emerging hotspots like Kochi, Nagpur, and Shillong, Indian travellers can expect a new wave of stylish, reliable, and globally benchmarked hotel experiences.

In an issued statement, Sebastien Bazin, Chairman & CEO of Accor said, "This landmark partnership marks a transformative moment for Accor and its brands in India. By aligning with our long-term successful and trusted partner InterGlobe and bringing together the best of hospitality, tech and entrepreneurship in India, we are unlocking unprecedented growth potential in one of the world’s most exciting travel markets."
