Passing through airports, many travellers prefer to wait at lounges and take advantage of their various amenities. Business lounges, in particular, often have state-of-the-art facilities for travellers to pass their time comfortably while waiting for their flights. If you have been to Delhi Airport recently, you must have spotted a couple of lounges. But now Delhi Airport's Terminal 3 also boasts of housing India's largest lounge. For a world-class luxury experience, Encalm Hospitality Pvt Ltd. has launched the Encalm Privé exclusively for business class and first-class passengers. The lounge facilities at the food court level of Terminal 3 will be open for first-class air passengers of partner airlines and Credit Card users.

The Encalm Privé lounge spreads out over approximately 22,000 square feet, and once it is entirely functional, the lounge will boast an impressive 30,000 square feet, making it the biggest of its kind in India with some of the finest facilities such as a bar, lounge bays, a multi-cuisine buffet, live food counters, a business centre, a library and a kid's play area.

The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) is the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) operator and is spearheading this initiative with plans to extend the facilities further as part of a unified lounge strategy. This move is aimed at offering a premium experience to passengers and also to optimise space. DIAL is also planning two separate lounge facilities, which will be for all passengers. With seating shortages at Terminal 3 lately, the absence of adequate lounges made it a hassle for travellers. Now with the coming up of these new lounges, the severity of that problem might lessen.

"The Privé isn't your mainstream airport lounge," said Vikas Sharma, CEO of Encalm Hospitality, while talking about the Privé positioning. "We've always strived towards providing delightful experiences that become memories for our customers, and Privé is another step towards that direction. It is our flagship lounge, and travellers who bank upon our quality and amenities are in for a treat as we look forward to setting the bars for premium hospitality and luxury airport experiences a notch higher. The Privé is the beginning, and a grand one that'll change how India perceives lounges," he added.
