Harry Potter Freshwater West Beach
Nothing, not even reading the book a few years in advance, could prepare Potterheads for the devastating effect of watching Dobby&rsquos death on screen. In Harry Potter and the Death Hallows Part 1, we see Harry Potter bury Dobby the Free Elf, with the fictionalized Shell Cottage in the backdrop. The iconic scene was shot on Freshwater West Beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales and is visited by fans all over the world&mdashmagical, and otherwise.
Mamma Mia Kastani Beach
Mamma Mia. You love it, hate it or maybe tolerate it, but you can&rsquot deny that the setup of this sugar-sweet musical is gorgeous. The 2008-film based on all the songs of ABBA was with was shot in the Greek island of Skopelos. We saw Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth belt out their feelings and lay all their love (literally) at Kastani Beach, the bright blue beach in the island.
The Beach Maya Beach
Leonardo Di Caprio-starrer The Beach may not have hit the box office success it wished, but it certainly made its set rise to fame. The &lsquobeach&rsquo so referred to in the film is shot at Maya Beach in Thailand, and instantly became famous for its waters. Recently, however, with the growing number of tourists picking Maya as their destination, there has been an adverse impact on the eco system. The beach is indefinitely closed now to recover.
The Notebook El Matador Beach
The Notebook is every romantic&rsquos favourite film&mdashand for good reason. Starring the amazing Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, and a plotline based on Nicholas Sparks&rsquo novel, the film was a commercial success. Although it&rsquos hard to choose, one of the most iconic scenes is when the characters Ally (in her red polka-dotted bikini) & Noah go swimming on the beach in the summer and scream &ldquoI feel as free as a bird&rdquo The beach featured in the movie is the El Matador State beach in Malibu, California and you can visit it to recreate your own version
