The McCallister house and Mitch Murphy's residence in the movie "Home Alone" were filmed on Lincoln Avenue in the North Shore village of Winnetka, Illinois. Although Kevin mentions his address as 671 Lincoln Boulevard in the film, the McCallister house's exterior shots were captured at 671 Lincoln Avenue. Meanwhile, the exterior of the Murphy house was filmed just across the street at 656 Lincoln Avenue. Interestingly, certain interior scenes of the McCallister home, such as the main staircase, basement, attic, and first floor, were also filmed within the same house used for the exteriors, contributing to the seamless portrayal in the final production.
