Visit Santa in Finland with his Official Airline

Afraid to travel due to the pandemic but still want to make the most out of Christmas cheer Finnair has got your back as it takes you on a virtual flight to visit Santa in Lapland

Now you can give Santa a virtual visit at his hometown of Rovaniemi, Finland from the comfort of your own sofa as Finnair, Finland&rsquos national flag carrier offers a 10 euro virtual flight which will immerse you in a 360- degree experience. 

The Helsinki-based airline will offer eight virtual flights from December 25 whereby families can have a Christmas  experience like no other - a meeting with Mr and Mrs Claus after a busy season of delivering gifts all round the world. All thanks to virtual reality.

Finnair also happens to be the official airline of Santa Claus.

The Finnair Santa flights have been created by a Finnish virtual reality studio called &lsquoZoan&rsquo which uses the most advanced Unreal Engine real-time 3D graphics tool. The user can access these flights on any of their electronic devices and can experience what it is like to travel on the flight of the most comfortable Nordic business class.

For the full experience, a VR set is expected to be attached to the device. The entire journey will be 30 minutes from Helsinki to Lapland. You can admire the aurora borealis, the famous northern lights and and also have a drink served to you by the cabin crew. After landing in the snowy northern city of  Rovaniemi, VR passengers can cross the Arctic Circle to visit Santa Claus in his cabin.

Adding to the Christmas&nbspcheer of spreading joy, Finnair will donate all the proceedings to  UNICEFs work to slow the spread of COVID-19 and minimise its impact on children worldwide.
