Goa is home to several forts, primarily remnants of Portuguese rule, that offer insight into its rich history while providing stunning views. These Goan forts are strategically situated along rivers and the coastline, highlighting the region's unique geography. Many of these forts are well-preserved, allowing visitors to explore their ramparts, bastions, and remnants of historical structures such as lighthouses, prisons, and water reservoirs. While well-known forts like Aguada, Chapora, Reis Magos, and Terekhol attract many visitors, there are several lesser-known forts as well, one of which is Alorna Fort.
