SpiceJet is set to significantly expand its operations for the Winter 2025 season, introducing a schedule that will see 250 flights take off each day—twice the number operated during the summer. This substantial increase mirrors a rise in passenger demand and aligns with the airline’s strategy to strengthen its fleet over the next few weeks.
Beginning on October 26, the new winter timetable has been introduced gradually as 19 leased aircraft are integrated into service. The carrier anticipates reaching the full capacity of 250 daily flights once all additional planes are operational.
This marks a notable jump from its previous schedules, where the airline managed around 125 flights per day in summer and 150 during the last winter season.
SpiceJet’s expanded winter operations will be introduced progressively over the coming weeks as newly leased aircraft are integrated into its fleet and begin regular service. Alongside the fleet induction, the airline is enhancing both its international and domestic networks.
On the international front, SpiceJet is launching daily non-stop flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Phuket, catering to the growing appetite for leisure travel. Domestically, the carrier is boosting capacity on major metro routes — with Mumbai–Bengaluru services increasing to twice daily from 1 and 15 November, and a new twice-daily Chennai–Bengaluru schedule commencing on 8 November.
This phased expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to strengthening connectivity and meeting rising travel demand across key markets.
SpiceJet is set to widen its domestic reach this winter, focusing on popular tourist destinations across India. The airline is boosting services to Rajasthan’s prime seasonal hotspots — Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer — with new routes and enhanced frequencies. From October 31, Kolkata will gain direct connections to both Jaipur and Udaipur. Jaipur will also see new flights to Guwahati and Mumbai starting November 7, while Jaisalmer will be linked to Delhi from November 15.
Pilgrimage travel is another key focus, with SpiceJet strengthening access to Ayodhya through daily flights from Delhi and Ahmedabad, complemented by new services from Mumbai (October 26) and Hyderabad (November 6). Additional routes will link Varanasi to Pune (October 26) and Hyderabad (November 6), further improving access to major religious centres.
Beyond these, several new domestic connections will be introduced:
Patna–Hyderabad and Patna–Ahmedabad from October 26
Patna–Chennai beginning November 8
Kolkata–Ahmedabad and Kolkata–Chennai launching October 26, with a second daily service to Chennai from November 6
Ahmedabad–Chennai starting November 27
These additions underline SpiceJet’s strategy to strengthen regional connectivity while supporting both tourism and pilgrimage travel across the country.
By November 2025, SpiceJet expects to have more than doubled the size of its operational fleet and tripled its available seat kilometres (ASKM), signalling a strong phase of recovery and growth for the airline. Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet, noted that the upcoming winter season represents an important period of expansion for the airline. He remarked, “Doubling our daily flights is a clear reflection of SpiceJet’s renewed momentum and growth strategy.” Maharshi explained that the ongoing fleet induction will enable the carrier to increase frequencies on major routes and introduce new destinations, thereby offering passengers greater choice, capacity, and value.
