South Africa is now ready to host tourists, but there are several rules and regulations for travellers to follow.
South Africa recently witnessed the second wave of the virus, and recorded the highest number of infected cases in the African continent.
As per South Africa&rsquos tourism regulations, it is mandatory for international travellers to show a negative PCR test. The nation is looking for other ways to keep a check on the spread of the virus, as testing is just one of the preventive measures.
And with the holiday season in its full glory, South Africa has declared that its beaches (in the Eastern Cape and tourist areas of Western Cape Province) will remain closed, from December 16, until January.
There is also an additional restriction on specific days for alcohol sales (only Monday-Thursday from 10am &ndash 6pm) and night curfew from 11pm &ndash 4am. Some other places and beaches, which host a lot of tourists, like the Kwazulu Natal province, will also have specific operating guidelines. Beaches that will not be closed will be shut down for specific holidays like New Year&rsquos and Christmas.
