If Goa's beaches are among your favourite go-to hangout joints, here's some good news.

The director of tourism Mr. Menino D&rsquoSouza recently announced that the Goa's tourism department has started the demarcation of beach shacks along the North Goa coast and the process is likely be completed in the next 10-15 days.

A highlight of Goa&rsquos tourism industry are the beach shacks. The state's northern belt and beach shacks attract around 7.8 million tourists annually. The north coastal belt includes some of the most touristy beaches like Calangute, Anjuna and Candolim.&nbspThe demarcation process in South Goa might take longer due to a shortage of manpower.

The state tourism department hopes that the upcoming festive season will boost shack owners' revenues.

Goa had earlier made it mandatory for tourists to avail a COVID-19 negative certificate two days prior to reaching the state, but now there&rsquos no such rule. People can travel to Goa as long as they follow all mandatory precautions.

Under Unlock 4, all authorised and licensed bars in Goa were allowed to reopen from September 1 with necessary safety guidelines in place.

The sunshine state has over 10,000 licensed bars across the state which have faced financial losses during the lockdown.
