Coming to Maharashtra from These States You may Face some Restrictions

Maharashtra has levied restrictions for travellers from Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Kerala. The state government has made it mandatory for travellers from the five states to carry a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test report not older than 72 hours.

Right now Maharashtra and Kerala have some of the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

These restrictions refer to passengers travelling to Maharashtra by flights and trains. As per instructions, travellers coming via trains must get their COVID test done 96 hours prior to their journey, and passengers entering Maharashtra through flights must get tested 72 hours before their time of departure. Carrying the test results is mandatory at both airports and railway stations. Failing to do so will result in the management screening you at railway station, or airports.

Travellers with COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to take the antigen test and those who test positive will be admitted to COVID-19 care facilities.

However, the tests and hospital expenses will be the patients&rsquo responsibility.

Furthermore, the Indian Council of Medical Research and Spice Health have introduced COVID RT-PCR testing mobile services in Mumbai. The test costs just Rs 499 and the results can be expected within 24 hours.

According to officials, the travel restrictions on the state of Kerala was announced after it recorded 64,390 cases on Wednesday, currently, the highest in the country. The overall COVID-19 cases in Kerala stands at 9.83 lakh. Maharashtra has the second-highest number of active cases at 35,917.
