Heritage sites in Nepal now open

Several Unesco heritage sites in Kathmandu which were closed to the public after the quakes have now been reopened

Nepal&rsquos quake may have had a devastating impact, but the resilient country has been quick to get back on its feet. Of the several Unesco heritage sites in Kathmandu, including the Durbar Square and Buddhist stupas and Hindu temples, which were damaged and closed to the public after the quakes, six have now been reopened. Barriers have been put up around some of the buildings on Durbar Square, tourists will be given guided tours, and signboards that indicate the saf-est routes to monuments have been installed.
