Tamil is one of the oldest languages in India. This classical age-old language is being celebrated and promoted through the creativity and art of young talent at the LangFest 2021 hosted by DakshinaChitra in Chennai over the weekend.

The heritage and culture museum will narrate the story of Tamil through performances of theatre, art, dance, music and much more The fest is open to all and includes a &ldquoBring Your Own Instrument&rdquo session later in the evening.

The museum has come up with a plan to promote art and culture through the language of Tamil where the emphasis will be given to its history, origin and importance in today&rsquos world. &ldquoIndie-talent- friendly&rdquo is the main goal for the performances.

Ajay R, the assistant curator had a dream of turning the museum from just an informative site to a fun cultural hotspot.

Apart from performance arts, the fest hosted panel discussions, jammings sessions, workshops on Tamil calligraphy, narration of poems by Kalairani, and other events hosted and showcased by celebrities such as Bava Chelladurai and S Raghuraman, and A.Revathi.
