Operation Sindoor and Its Impact on Air Travel

The Indian Armed Forces carried out targeted attacks on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as part of Operation Sindoor. Several airports in northern and western India were temporarily closed as a result of directions issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) after this operation. As a result, until May 10, 2025, Air India and Air India Express would no longer operate flights to and from the impacted airports, which include Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot.
