Guests were introduced to the group’s portfolio framework, referred to as the House of Siyam, which organises its resorts into three collections: Luxury, Lifestyle and Privé. The event took place at All Saints in Khar and followed a similar showcase hosted by the group in New Delhi earlier this month.

The Mumbai event marked the second leg of Sun Siyam’s India engagement, focusing on presenting the group’s refreshed brand identity and long-term vision for the Indian market. According to the company, the showcase was designed to highlight its evolving brand structure while reinforcing its ties with the Indian media and travel industry.

India continues to be a key source market for the Maldives and Sri Lanka, and Sun Siyam officials stated that the Mumbai interaction was aimed at strengthening existing partnerships and increasing awareness of the group’s resort portfolio.

Focus On Refreshed Brand Identity

Sun Siyam representatives also highlighted a set of Signature Experiences offered across its resorts. These experiences are designed to reflect local culture, island life, and outdoor settings, with concepts such as private villas, beach clubs, and curated stays forming part of the offering.

The Mumbai showcase featured presentations and interactions designed to explain how these experiences are integrated across the group’s properties in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

Celebrating 35 Years Of Maldivian Hospitality

Sun Siyam was founded by Ahmed Siyam Mohamed and has operated in the hospitality sector for 35 years. Company officials said the anniversary celebrations reflect a phase of consolidation and repositioning as the group expands its reach while maintaining a focus on Maldivian identity.

The brand’s leadership described the ongoing transformation as a way to align its long-standing values with changing traveller expectations. The company said its strategy continues to prioritise experience-led stays, local engagement, and consistent service standards across destinations.

During the Mumbai event, Sun Siyam reiterated its commitment to the Indian market, which has remained one of its strongest source regions over the years. Industry participants attending the event included representatives from travel media and tourism stakeholders.

Resort Portfolio Across Maldives And Sri Lanka

Sun Siyam Resorts opened its first property, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, in the Maldives in 1998. Since then, the group has expanded its portfolio to include six private island resorts.

These include four five-star properties in the Maldives, namely Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef and Siyam World, along with Sun Siyam Olhuveli, a four-star resort. The group also operates Sun Siyam Pasikudah, a boutique beach retreat located on Sri Lanka’s east coast.

Each resort offers a range of island-based and marine experiences, including dining programs, water sports and ocean-focused activities. The group is privately owned and managed and has stated that its properties are designed to reflect the character of their locations while maintaining a consistent hospitality approach.
