Travel enthusiast and chef Parth Bajaj recently explored the lesser-known treasures of Northern Germany, covering a variety of towns and cities that are rich in history, culture, and festive cheer. His 10-day adventure introduced him to a side of Germany that many travellers often overlook, with picturesque landscapes and delightful local experiences.

His journey began in Hanover and Celle, two charming towns that come alive during Christmas with their beautifully decorated markets and festive ambience. The historical architecture and cosy streets in both towns made them feel like something out of a holiday postcard.

In Bremen and Bremerhaven, Parth wandered through the vibrant streets filled with history, from Bremen's UNESCO-listed Town Hall to Bremerhaven’s maritime museums. He also visited Cuxhaven, a coastal town offering stunning views of the North Sea and a chance to enjoy fresh seafood and coastal walks.

A highlight of Parth’s trip was Berlin, where he indulged in local street food, including a mouthwatering burger from Burgermeister and iconic Currywurst from Curry 36, both favourites for those looking to experience the authentic taste of the city.

Over his ten-day trip, Parth not only discovered the historical and cultural gems of North Germany but also immersed himself in its festive spirit, making this adventure one to remember. From Christmas markets to local delicacies, his journey is proof that there’s so much more to explore in this fascinating region of Germany.
