Triund is a small hill station at a height of 2,875 m in the Kangra district. The short but moderately difficult trek to it rewards hikers with spectacular vistas and sunsets.
This mountain pass in the Dhauladhar range is located at an altitude of 4,342 m above sea level. The four-day trek crosses through vast meadows, gushing streams, deep gorges, tranquil lakes and deodar forests.
The Pin Parvati Pass connects the lush and fertile Parvati valley on the Kullu side with the barren high-altitude Pin valley on the Spiti side. The trail winds through lush forests, open meadows and numerous waterfalls.
The trek to the virtually unexplored Kugti Pass crosses through apple orchards, pine forests and green meadows on the lower slopes. On the higher slopes, the trail weaves through snow fields, glaciers and icefalls.
Treks to this sacred lake are usually undertaken during August and September. According to a popular legend, Shiva created Manimahesh after he married Parvati.
The route to this remote and scenic valley in the Western Himalayas alternates between quaint villages and flower beds dominated by the overwhelming presence of Himalayan orchids.
Mount Friendship, located in the Beas Kund area of the Pir Panjal range, is known for its hard ascent and panoramic views. The road to it winds through the Solang valley, which has a variety of alpine trees.
Perched at an elevation of 2,755 m above sea level, Dainkund Peak is among the most beautiful and least visited places in the Dalhousie region. The serene trek passes through forests, meadows and small brooks.
