The first International Ayurveda and Wellness Conclave 2026 in Kozhikode brought global experts together to present Kerala as a hub for Ayurveda, sustainable wellness tourism and medical value travel.
Organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala with the Ayurveda Promotion Society, the February 2–3 event focused on structured dialogue, quality standards, and global benchmarks.
Speakers from Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth and CGH Earth Experience examined how Kerala can scale globally while protecting its Ashtavaidya-rooted classical traditions.
Experts from Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal and Amrita Ayurveda stressed clinical studies, documentation and evidence-based practice to boost international credibility.
Industry leaders highlighted Kerala’s strength in long-stay therapeutic care, chronic condition management and preventive health, supported by trained physicians and an integrated wellness-tourism ecosystem.
Panels underscored how integrated Ayurveda and yoga retreats respond to global demand for holistic healing, structured programmes and long-term wellbeing rather than surface-level relaxation.
From eco-sensitive resorts to organic herb cultivation, sustainability emerged as central, aligning Ayurveda’s nature-based philosophy with responsible tourism and community-focused growth.
Delegates toured Wayanad, Thrissur, Kochi, Alappuzha, Varkala and Kovalam, experiencing Ayurveda resorts, hospitals, and cultural landmarks beyond the conclave.
